The Way I Use to Shape Myself

How do I shape who I am?

Whenever I meet someone—whether online or offline—for some reason I always give them a label, and this increasingly shows that I am a picky person but I will try to remain respectful to everyone and respect them, even though there are some people who have been treated with respect but their character and actions are far from my outlook on life so it is a little difficult for me to respect them, if you have ever experienced this, you will definitely know how it feels.

These initial impressions offer clues about a person, even upon a first encounter. From there, some inspire me, while others have the opposite effect.

To those who inspire me and are in line with my views, I want to be like them and will try harder to imitate their identity, actions and behavior.

Anyone can be my inspiration, depending on my mood, my mindset, my situation at that time because I think that's what influences me more. However, I mostly draw inspiration from strangers; for some reason, I feel I discover more about my own identity through people I don't know. Even so, I have no desire to be known by them, nor do I make any effort to catch their attention. I am content simply being an admirer—without them, or anyone else, ever knowing it.

I always consider expectations from within myself and from outside myself to shape myself, especially expectations from outside that I should be able to ignore, but for some reason when I try to ignore them, they actually make me worse. Internal expectations, on the other hand, are the hardest to fulfill because my own standards for myself constantly shift over time. While this inconsistency bothers me, I try to manage it by setting daily targets that allow me to feel a sense of sufficiency.

Until now, that's the way I use to shape myself.
